Talking of Aloe Vera…
Some of the juice feasters will recollect me mentioning it was in the juice I was sipping on today…
And now, I will be taking daily 90ml shots every morning every day for the next week.
All this juicing and cleansing can be quite powerful and stimulating for the gut.
So, as far as my experience goes, Aloe Vera Juice helps soothe and calm my insides and allow things to flow even smoother!
Aloe Vera is known for it’s soothing properties, there is a lot of research out there about all the benefits.
Here is an incredibly exciting piece of research that shows Aloe Vera reversing ulcerative colitis!
ALOE VERA ARTICLE
Most people know it is great for sun burn (soothing and cooling) which is an external use.
That said, take any illness or disease in the body and inflammation is almost certainly going to be playing a huge part – or in most cases, causing the problem in the first place.
Some important thoughts on inflammation is part of the complex biological response. It is a protective attempt by the organism to remove the injurious stimuli and to initiate the healing process. Inflammation is not the same as infection, even in cases where inflammation is caused by infection. Inflammation is one of the responses of the organism to the pathogen. Without inflammation, wounds and infections would never heal. Similarly, progressive destruction of the tissue would compromise the survival of the organism. However, chronic inflammation can also lead to a host of diseases, such as common hay fever, periodontitis, atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and even cancer. It is for that reason that inflammation is normally closely regulated by the body.
In this context, taking aloe vera internally will allow it’s slipperly soothing ways to take action.
It will help reduce inflammation, aid digestion and add extra nutrition to my juicey week ahead.
I personally recommend Pukka Aloe Vera because:
- It is free from synthetic preservatives.
- It contains the juice of the best leaves they can source.
- Only the inner leaf gel is used with none of the bitter outer rind, so it has a fresh taste.
- It is the best extraction method: cold processed and unfiltered = aloe vera juice at its natural best.
- They only use 100% organic.
- It comes in a glass bottle.
There will be more to come…
